However, this beach is located on the mainland, making it far more accessible than islands like Koh Lanta.
Compared to Ao Nang, the Klong Muang area is relatively quieter, but it still has some good restaurants, cafes, bars, convenience stores, and even food stalls. This fact makes it an excellent location for finding accommodations.

Things You Should Know
How to Get to Your Hotels
Klong Muang Beach is 30.3 kilometers (around 19 miles) from Krabi International Airport (KBV). Most travelers need to get a taxi ride to get to their hotel. You can get one at the airport. However, you may be overcharged or have to wait an hour in a queue, especially during a peak season.
Hence, I recommend booking a transportation in advance with Bookaway. Since you can input your hotel as the destination right away, the entire booking process is much more straightforward than booking directly. The fare is also reasonable. The platform also offers various options to select from, which can be more inexpensive for groups.
Alternatively, you ask your hotel to arrange transportation. This option is pricey, though.
Alternatively, you can get a rental car to drive to your hotel. I do not recommend that temporary visitors drive in Thailand. Still, it remains a viable option.
